This semester I don't have a parking pass so I park in the boonie boons and take the ghetto-but quite comfortable shuttle up to the school when needed. Today my first surprise was that a fella looking almost exactly like this driving the shuttle bus:
which was actually quite a treat. He was happy as ever. (they usually are middle aged men who frown and hate their life the whole time. I mean who wouldn't-driving in circles around and around all day) He would greet each passenger as they would hop on. As we're sitting there waiting for the bus to fill up (which can be soo annoying for the people that are late and need to get going but bless the old man's heart for waiting) he turns up the radio saying that he loved this song and to sing along with him if anybody knew it. And guess what song that was? In all seriousness: this old man is singing WORD FOR WORD of. . .
i hope you at least played the first minute of that song and just imagined what i was experiencing because it was the best thing ever.
As this guy is screaming the words to this song while tapping his feet and hitting his steering wheel he then pulls out his sunflower seeds.
"SHE'S IN LOVE WITH THE BOOOOOOOOOY" as he's popping back his seeeeds. My fellow passenger got it on his camera phone which I should have thought of. But for now just use your imagination because boy oh boy it was the most hilarious thing. Oh, and just to make it better my sweet drivers name was George.
Side note: the bus was full and people were standing. The boy next to me asked if the girl standing up wanted to take his seat. It was the sweetest thing. Sometimes those freshman baby boys ARE the greatest.
