Yep, my backbone is shot.

Someone said to me the other day "you don't have to ignore me-if you don't want to go, you don't have to." I was thinking about that. To the point of it making me mad simply because they nailed me right on the head. I HAVE NO BACKBONE. Wait a second. What does that even mean? Anyway all I know is that I don't have the guts to just say no to someone's face. Some people refer to that as "oh you're just being overly-nice" but really I feel like that's more mean. Because you either 1. ignore them, 2. go along with it and be miserable, or 3. somehow work your way out of it without flat out saying "no. i don't feel like doing that." Now the people that are close to me {ehhm kristine} would disagree. Especially when it comes to boys. They think I am cruel and will flat out tell the person No or I'm not interested. Lets get real here though: I'm not going to lead the boy on to the ends of the earth, so after the 2nd or 3rd date you've got to draw a line somewhere right?

I was the person at work who you knew would take the shift if you asked her--even if she had plans! I have gone on so many errand runs with people that I would personally not have wasted my time with. I can't count how many times I have been in the middle of something (and enjoying myself) and had to leave to go accompany someone somewhere. Now lets get this straight, of course with the people i'm close to i can say to their faces 'no thanks not feeling that right now.' Or will choose to go with them because I LOVE IT and I LOVE THEM...but to the others? Sorry you are all on your own. But that is just how Nicole Erin works now-a-days until I somehow get my red 5-year old personality back. Or you are a boy who just simply needs to be cut from the list....
