My dream on December 23, 2011

Guess what? My Christmas is over. Do you know how many times I said that yesterday? Well it's true--as you can tell from my video in previous post, "All I wanted for Christmas" was Shaun Michael and Shaun Michael is whaaaat iiiiiiii got!

Let me tell you how the day went.

For some odd reason I couldn't sleep past 9 that morning. I jumped in the shower and my Mom came down and kept asking if I was awake or if I was leaving or what. I came upstairs and I didn't even put together until after about what she was saying to me. She asked if I was doing my hair curly and I should get the towel off my head. Shaun was texting me telling me how his half day at work was. This is how that text convo went:

SJ: Work is so pointless. Too close to Christmas. Nobody's working. And they certainly don't want to talk about advertising...

SJ: Don't you wish I could just come see you with peppermint hot chocolate like that one morning?? :(

N: Yes :) but once I'm ready for the day at least.

SJ: Oh really?? Shoot. You might have to deal with that cause I'm at your front door..

N: Haha you wish

SJ: It's really cold can you please come open the door...?

at this point I thought he was still kidding.
But then I saw Mother dear clearing the entry hallway...

SJ: Like really...

I opened the door to a lovely surprise. All this meant that we were going Christmas shopping earlier and he brought me hot chocolate..so still no idea. We went into my little piano room and sat on the couch and talked for a bit. He had a newspaper under his arm which was normal because we had discussed about saving his first ad space that he had sold and ran in the paper. He pulled it out to show me and I see this bad boy. . .

Of course my eyes went straight to #3. . .and the next thing I knew he was on his knee.
He was scared I think for a second because of the total shock I was in and threw in a couple of
"whaaat?"
"Whaat are you DOING?"

So if you just want to check your Friday paper. Section A page 7 in every Salt Lake Tribune or Desert News you'll see my dearest.

In the middle of skyping Ashy-ash in Georgia about the blessed event, Shaun got a call! It was from ABC 4 news. Their producer had seen the ad and wanted one of their reporters to "FIND THAT GUY." So this poor girl was on facebook for over an hour she said. Finally they were able to reach Shaun. They said they would be down in an hour. That interview was comfortable because I made everybody leave because I already felt stupid. Where's the copy of that one??

Then we went to finish our Christmas shopping. When we were out we started to get more calls. Including Fox 13. We ran home to one last interview before dinner. Shaun's family wanted in on the excitement so that one was a bit more awkward since I had people staring at me. Glad it's all over though. Shaun was there to calm the storm. He would fill in the long pauses of the answers to my questions or basically talk the whole time :)

Then we left fame and fortune and met our families/few close friends at Los Hermanos for our celebratory dinner! Thank you Audrey for the balloons and cake. Shout out to our dear friend Ryan Ogden who was able to serve us. The first waitress was a bit mad she missed that tip. . .

We finished out the night at the Covey Center watching Shaun in his Thrillionaires improv Christmas Carol show. I'm always so shocked with the incredible talent that is there. I was so happy that event sold out all 700 + seats for this event! I love that it's not even the bias that is talking---Shaun usually is always the best one.

It was such a long FUN exciting day! Now I can just spend Christmas with my family and new FIANCE! Whaaat?

--------------------

Well that was a fun bragging post. Sorry but a lot of people wanted to know the story. AND I am only posting this video because there isn't a link online that people wanted to see. I HATE THE FOX 13 ONE like I said above--people were staring at me while they filmed it. I'll post the other one once I get it. Once again, I hate it. And I didn't know they were choosing those pictures! When I asked her what pictures she used she said "well we were first a bit confused because you were in a lot of pictures with a blonde girl so we just took the most recent ones with the brown-haired girl." Yeah, I used to be blonde Kimberly Houk!

Merry Christmas :)
