Keane

I hate the day after a movie comes out.
Okay I guess I hate it when I didn't go see it that night.
I usually stay off of Facebook so I don't have to read the constant status' that pop up from it.
Also, usually around the color festival time but that doesn't mean I'm not participating in it.

Anyway, this time though I'm curious to see how the reactions were about this movie.
Yes people, you know this movie is The Hunger Games.
I wasn't going to get in on it. Probably just was going to toss it aside with my Harry Potter issue I have, but when SJ begged me and I heard the crowd who was going Saturday--I just needed to.*

*it may also be because Shaun put the 'books on tape' on my phone (which by the way I'm not a huge fan of because I can't really use my imagination that much and do the different kind of voices I want to do, but it was a success and I finished it in a shorrrrt amount of time.)

Saturday is going to be a great day. I love the new Thanksgiving Point theatre and no lines! Assigned seating has never looked so good.

New thought:

Yesterday I was doing some deep thinking. Which I am usually doing on Tuesday & Thursday's because I don't go to school and I am usually cleaning or doing something by myself at the house. Lately, I have been thinking of my friends. Now don't get me wrong--there is nothing I hate most than my married friends that would constantly whine about how their friends disappeared or act different. And my goodness I don't want this to be that. But during my deep thoughts I was thinking about my friends. It's so funny how when you are single you look at your married friends and simply don't want to bother them or you think they don't want to still be with you. Now that I'm on the other side I'm literally laughing for having those thoughts. I was talking to my friend Pat about this the other day and he was saying "I guess it's something you don't really understand until your married." Is it though? I can not even explain to you my thoughts right now. I don't think I want it to be how it was before. Probably just not possible and even if it was I don't think I would want it. My life with Shaun is the most amazing experience. But I'm sure it's probably just hard on their part. Yeah, that's it..? I guess this is just one of those thoughts that simply turn around and become nothing in the end, sorry. I love my friends..Shaun loves my friends. It's a good spot to be I guess. A little of both worlds I used to have and currently have. Such a happy medium. . .or is it.

debating on deleting that whole new thought.

Shaun's favorite band explains it well with one of my new favorite songs:

. .everybody's changing
                                                  And I don't feel the same. .

first day of spring, that's me!

Just going to quickly post about my birthday here because I can't forget the ones that made it great.
I have a huge presentation today so I was finishing up things for that (all day). I was able to squeeze in some Captain Crunch Berries & my all time favorite Two Weeks Notice for breakfast. Put in a couple hours more and then I had the pleasure of having Ash come on her lunch break. I made some ham sandwiches, fruit salad and then some more of the wedding cake as usual. Her visit was short but it was good to catch up considering I haven't seen a soul since my wedding. The next thing I knew it was 6:00 and handsome was walking through the door with the most beautiful flowers I have seen in a long time.

On our way to the parents house we picked up my car that is NOW FIXED and isn't referred to as a golf cart anymore (came out of markie brother's mouth). Then we spent the night at with my family. Birthday parties thrown by your family are always the best. My mom made my favorite lasagna and then the famous strawberry concoction of cake. It was delicious. I love my family and glad I could spend my birthday with them and Shaun. We were joking around the table about how Shaun attended last years lasagna birthday dinner. And a little less than a year later we're married!

viente y dos.

I like.
Ps not to mention the tears that were shed due to Becky Rene and Ashley Kay's nice words.

March 2011 birthday. SJ was purposely assigned to sit by me. Hey, it worked!

Now he will forever be assigned to sit by me!

HMoon

I apologize.
These posts are in the wrong order.
But I am going to wait to post about my special day.
Which means press forward saints to the after party!

We stayed at The Venetian which was so nice.
Whenever I come to vegas I never even dream about staying in those hotels so it was really nice to have that opportunity.

(we haven't figured out just quite the right pose yet. we're trying haha)

The pool at The Venetian was PARADISE.
SJ hates doing the peace sign. It's probably for the best..

We made our way over to Caesars Palace where Shaun tried to tame a horse with wings while we sampled our life away at the gelato place. Also, Caesars is the home of the Cheesecake Factory. Yes.

(who really spends the time and money on those things?
maybe I will one day..)
Phantom of the Opera was INCREDIBLE. The theatre was built just for that show so they did some spectacular things to it. I felt spoiled going to dinner and a nice show like that with husband.

(we're working really hard on getting some Vitamin D..)

The M&M store which never gets old...now has a 3D show!
It was no Star Tours but hey, we enjoyed it.. (ps Shaun is a tresher cat)
Didn't quite make it to the roller coasters. next time maybe. this was the last day of the trip as you can tell from my overall attire. I always under pack on every trip I go to.
The Cirque Du Soliel show called 'KA'. It was the best part of the trip! We were like 7th row and it was almost like watching a magic show looking at some of the things those performers were doing. I can't imagine the strength, balance, and practice that goes into those shows!

ended the night with a bellagio performance.
I started looking more and more like a man so it was time to go home that night after that...

It was a blast just spending time with Shaun and not having to worry about school or work or anybody else for that matter! I'm so sick of eating out though. We were spoiled. But so great to be back....kinda.

SMJ

Well today is March 20.
The official first day of Spring.
I remember in Elemntary school thinking I
was such a special child because my birthday fell on that day.
Spring baaaby!
Well continuing on with the feeling that today doesn't feel like my birthday,
I am going to just go ahead and celebrate somebody else's on my blog.

One of the most important people in my life!
Due to all the busy wedding and different things it was overshadowed on here.

This little guy turned 2-8 on March 8th!

I am so blessed to be married to Mr. Johnson.
It's only been a little over a week and I'm just adding to the list of things that I love about him that I never saw before. Just adding to the current things on that list. Here are both kinds. . .

Shaun does this stance when he poses for a picture. He is usually kind of leaning half-way over (which is what I do as well) and he has one hand in his pocket. From my research though I have discovered that it began earlier in his life but it was just a hand on the hip..  I love it.

I have much more evidence but it won't load.

Shaun clears his throat.
A LOT.
But I think I have always loved it. He says it is what he has always done. He's told me about people having issues with it but I think it's just who he is. He says that one of his friends told him once that if they have to find him in a chapel or a theatre they just stick their head in the door and listen for 30 seconds and you are bound to hear and find where SJ is sitting. I have already had a few instances where I can't find him or wondering when he is going to come out of somewhere and I can hear him clearing his throat on the way out. I love it.

Shaun looks young. Not 28. Those are good genes to have! Sometimes I tell him he has a baby face. It was a real treat when the casino worker looked at us, laughed, and asked for our ID's (don't worry it's not what you think). He proudly smiled. Ohh my baby face. I love it.

He does everything he can to help me. Especially lately putting our house together. Considering I am a germ freak we have had to wash everything in this house pretty much. And we don't have a dishwasher so it's by hand baby! He has been a little trooper just sitting there drying each and every single dish. He is constantly asking me "what can I do for you today?" I love it.

He loves his family. And I love seeing that. He randomly said the other day "I love my family." (which maybe I told his Mom later that day and then he denied it :)  For any of you who came to the reception you might know that Shaun's brothers and Dad have a little band. They are amazing. And they love it because it keeps them close. It's good to see love for Shaun's family and makes me look forward to my own. I love it.

I'm learning that Shaun can not multi-task. (maybe girls are only good at that?) When I say multi-task I mean he can't watch a movie and listen to me talk. Everyone can do that right!? He gets so focused on things and just totally blocks everything else out. Although I have to say his name three times to get him out of his other world, I love it.

He gets cold fast. Super fast. I always knew this was the reason he always wore socks but I don't think I quite understood until the times when we come home and he immediately puts on a sweatshirt and curls up in a blanket right in front of a space heater. I love it.

We go to bed early because he gets up so early in the morning for work. When mentioning that he won't be the first to wish me happy birthday at midnight, he did set his alarm for midnight to wake up and give his salutation. I love it.

I'm proud to be Mrs. Johnson.
& celebrate a birthday for my remarkable other half.

Toy Story

Well I was asleep until SJ called me to say goodnight because 'he'll be up late.'
Let's rewind for a second, he is at his bachelor party tonight.
Which is fine.
right?
I just got notified that the wife of the house that the party is finishing up at was asked to sleep elsewhere tonight.
That is fine.
right again?

Nah, I'm just kidding.
sort of.
I think it's good to be out with friends.

In other news my dad and my little brother were life savers and helped me move out all of my stuff tonight. It was kind of weird because up until that point I have never been more excited to move out. But I guess I have never cleared every article of my possession out of my room. I was kind of melancholy towards the end. I'm glad that I have been moved around a few times lately so that there wasn't some special connection to a room I grew up in. No, no I had that disaster strike years ago when I left Bountiful.

I love my new house and my new roommate.
Everything is in boxes and trash bags. Speaking of that, I should have taken a picture. My dad offered the advice of putting all the trash bags full of clothes into the storage room so Shaun isn't taken back by all of them lining the bedroom walls. I find it appalling how many there were but how many outfits I think I own. Are those bags full of air?

I'm glad I can check one of the biggest things off the list.
In fifty-seven minutes it is officially Thursday which means I can say two things:

Shauny's birthday.
&
I get married not tomorrow but the next day!

Ps while packing up today I couldn't get this situation out of my brain. weird. not necessarily that nobody loves me but the part where the girl grows up. go ahead, call me crazy. But only I would link experiences to Disney movies. (fine, pixar)

"Just as our Redeemer gave His life as a vicarious sacrifice for all men, and in so doing became our Savior, even so we, in a small measure, when we engage in proxy work in the temple, become as saviors to those on the other side."
—Gordon B. Hinckley

"The temple endowment was given by revelation. Thus, it is best understood by revelation, prayerfully sought with a sincere heart. "
—Russell M. Nelson

"As we touch the temple and love the temple, our lives will reflect our faith. As we go to the holy house, as we remember the covenants we make therein, we will be able to bear every trial and overcome each temptation."
—Thomas S. Monson

When a few of my friends went through the temple to receive their endowment they each told me the cliche' "do whatever you can to make it to the temple." I remember saying that same phrase to my EFY kids the past couple years. Now having gone through the only thing I can continue to say is TRULY do whatever you can to make it to that temple.

"Prepare now for the temple, the mountain of the Lord. Never allow the goal of the temple to be out of your sight. Walk into His presence in purity and virtue, and receive His blessings—even 'all that he hath.'"
—Elaine S. Dalton

I got my bridals back already!
Well we had to put a rush on them because we had to switch last minute and take them even "last minut-er." But my friend Tracy was able to handle it! I am so pleased with how they turned out. I couldn't believe it.

Call Tracy right this second.

I'm not going to show any bridal ones yet but the last little bit of the photo shoot we changed and took a few more engagements to fill the million of frames for Saturday. I'll show a few of those.

I repeat:

Call TRACY
