Nie Nie.

Last night i had the honor of attending one of BYU's Recapturing Beauty conferences and guess who was the guest speaker?

Mr. & Mrs. Nielson

it was incredible. it was in the ballroom but the place was packed. people were standing in the back, around the corner. they had to constantly get people out from sitting in the aisle for fire code. what i loved was that Stephanie was completely floored that people would actually come and hear her speak. she told in detail of her story..which was {of course} touching and emotional. Christian {her husband} was there holding her hand and taking her dirty tissues.

she talked about seeing her new self for the first time in the hospital and how she had to keep thinking that beauty continued to shine forth through her because

"god loved me and i had the spirit with me.."

she said as she was laying there to have somebody come and rescue her she had the thought process that she needed to stay alive and that

"i wanted my body.."

i wish i could have written down her whole inspirational talk. some of the highlights were:

"please be women of Christ.."

"OUR beauty was given to us by God.."

"i am honored to carry this burden.."

"there is no room in yourself for discouragement.."

"beauty is peace, health, confidence..find YOUR beauty.."

the poweful spirit that she brought was felt by thousands, and will never be forgotten.

Can we please appreciate our bodies? they are special and house our spirits-do we forget that?
