EFY week 6...
shall not pass
it pretty much broke our hearts..
yeah. still an issue.
They tried out tuesday and all of the judges would not stop talking about it and was so excited for them to do it on Thursday. Thursday rolls around and Kristen, the girl on the left is pretty much deathly ill. I leave the YW activity to go check on her in the bathroom and I walk in on her saying a prayer outloud. I waited quietly by the door. She asked in her prayer that if this was a humbling experience for her to have it be learned later because "it may sound dumb but I really want to be able to perform." She couldn't really keep anything down so I couldn't really feed her anything. Our boys said a prayer and I went and got her a jama juice. About 20 mins later she was AS GOOD AS NEW. She was able to perform in the variety show and anyone who watched that would never have believed that she was sooo sick an hour earlier. Later in the week when we'd have troubles with something or somebody was whining we'd say "say a prayer, grab a jamba and get over it" ha. I JUST LOVE EVERY EXPERIENCE THAT HAPPENS THROUGHOUT MY EFY WEEEEEKS!
but they were the most rowdy--est boys of my life as well.
it was friday morningside, which was the last morningside and all i asked was that they'd be quiet for just one more! after time and time again telling them to shut up and threatening that i was going to go sit in the back because i couldn't stand it anymore. (but of course i was just kidding and had to get up anyway to go be early for a class duty i had) i finally (nicely) glared at my boys and whispered that they needed to be more respectful to the people around them and i just got up and walked out.
i knew they would be freaking out because they do everything to make me happy and get so sad when i am ever mad. i even felt bad for doing that to them.. anyway, so we meet up again at lunch and they had made me a bouquet of napkin roses and each wrote apology notes to me. I almost cried. here is a picture..with the obnoxious boys of course.
people do not be alarmed, the church is in good hands!
goooo future missionaries!
the best co i have had yet..
although he did act like one of the kids about 73 % of the time but that is what kept it fun.
the kids looked up to him though and thats what was important, i think.
i love it. i love it. i just want to do this every summer of my life. but of course that will probably not happen in my case. so i am just beyond thrilled that i get this opportunity this summer. meeting so many stunning fabulous people who just become my very best friends.
i just love this life. wooooooot. wooot.
